From annamaria’s Desk

The tribute I wrote about The Man Who Raised Me for Memorial Day has inspired a new trilogy that I need to dive into since it will require some hefty research.

Yes, I’ve decided to write about the two wonderful uncles who raised my sister and me, Uncle Carmen and Uncle Joe. The first book of the trilogy will be about them and what turn of events made them decide not to get married and help raise their sister’s children. It will also have some background information on my great uncle and my grandfather.

The second book will be dedicated to my mother. God bless her soul, she was convinced

Most of my mother's siblings with my sister and I

mothers were blessed with the gift of infallibility. I never really believed it, but when I became a mother I really saw how fallible I was. I found myself constantly apologizing to my children for my mistakes. Of course I did. If I expected them to say sorry whenever they did something wrong, I had to be the best example for them. My mother was a very complex individual who could be both your best friend and your worst enemy. Being raised by this woman was an adventure in itself.

The last book will be about me. And no, these will not be memoirs, they will be fiction based on true events, since many pieces of the puzzle I will not be able to fill with facts and will need to use my imagination to make all this work.

I’m very excited about this new project I’ve created for my self. Now, I need to buckle down and start working.

A small family album I’d like to share.

But, let’s not forget that I’m still trying to finish A New Era and edit White Swans A Regency World.

My plate feels full, but I know I’ll find more things to add to it, if I’m not running around anxious, worried about meeting deadlines, I won’t get anything done.

Also on my plate are the Round Table Chats. Right now I’ve not published any because I’m working on a special Young Adult authors edition which I want to post back to back once I’ve completed all the chats. When this project is done, I’ll have Kendíka, from White Swans, interview some of the characters of these Young Adult authors I’ve chatted with. I’m quite excited about this little project, and I’ve already completed three of the chats and am working on the fourth and about to start the fifth.

The next thing I’ve been contemplating is to give my blog a new face. Therefore, I’m searching for the look I want to achieve.

Busy, busy, busy. I need to keep busy.
